EUROPEAN

The rediscovery of a lost culture
After the debacle of the 2009
Copenhagen Climate Conference the world has once again made one step closer to the
catastrophy. Apparently, the material interests are so strong, that we cannot rely
on politics alone......The climate crisis goes much deeper than economics, though.
We have lost our soul and therefore
cling to "having". However, more "having" doesn't bring us our
happiness back. Actually, our entire culture is bankrupt. The breakdown has extended to
all levels of society. We have to therefore go back to the Origin in order to become
renewed.
A New World can only be created by New
People. For that we need New Teachers, ones who can show us an entirely New Way. Recently,
such a Teacher came forward. On the 6th of January he has solemny announced "The
Transformation" to the world. The core of his saving plan is called "Healing the
Planet in 7 Steps". (Quotation MeiMei Yu, MA)
The First Step includes A New
Spirituality
It is hard to believe. For us "enlightened"
citizens of the world with our arrogant culture, will there still be something new to
discover? On the other hand, if anywhere, a new prehistoric burial site is found or an
unknown painting by Rembrandt, then, this is a sensation.
But what to think when an entire previously unknown
European! cultural layer has been re-discovered? Something that has remained hidden for
nearly a thousand years from us?
The Facts
Christianity at that time has been established at the expense of
other religions and cultures. Much has been deliberately destroyed. In general, the
oppressed have not been able to leave much visible evidence of their existence. So we have
an imperfect picture of the pre-Christian times.
British authors - Lady Raglan, W. Anderson, C. Hicks, J. Matthews
and others - have in recent decades reported about a phenomenon that found echoes almost
exclusively in England: that of the "Green Man."
Green Men are sculptures that are now mainly found in and on
churches. There are faces that are surrounded by leaves.Their interpretation is based
largely on guesswork. In general, it is assumed that they symbolize the sacred in nature.
Much has since remained unresolved. A challenge for Han Marie
Stiekema, in daily life medical doctor (since 1972), psychotherapist and spiritual
teacher. His task: to find out the nature and significance of the Green Man.
To this end, he traveled throughout Western Europe - Sweden,
Denmark, Germany, Benelux, England, France, Spain and Portugal - and was amazed at the
hundreds of Green Men, many he found in/on churches, on public buildings, private houses,
museums and parks.
And what's more impressive and also the crucial point: they are all
equal: from Sweden to Portugal, they show the same characteristics. So that here we can
speak of a SINGLE pre-Christian culture!
Back home he began to sort out the extensive photographic material,
making connections, interpreting, thus arriving at an all-comprehensive hypothesis. The
result is meteoric.
Briefly. Green men actually embody the sacred in nature. However,
it's much more than that. It turns out that he represents the lost archetype of the
"dying and resurrecting", archaic, therefore pre-Christian deity.
Rather than be wiped out by Christianity - because a formidable
competitor to their own Savior! - the people managed to keep the memory - observed mainly
in churches.... - alive.Jesus, too - very probably a Canaanite, who wanted to restore the
old tradition - is classified as a part of this.As is known, he was then (unfortunately)
been incorporated by the Church
So, beneath the surface of the "official" religion and
culture, the tradition has been able to keep its continuity until today. For as
"Original Tradition" it has now resurrected as a phoenix from the ashes, once
again.
Unbelievable.
Summary
WHAT
Far more than a sensation! Since British authors have written on the
Green Man for the first time, now a complete and lost layer of European culture was
(re)discovered.
WHERE
In more than 300 churches across 9 Western European countries (
Sweden , Denmark , Germany , the Netherlands , Belgium , England , France , Spain and
Portugal ) there are the same unitary images and pictures of Green Men and Wise
Women.
HOW
By car driven 20,000 km and nearly 10,000 Photo's shot. At home,
editing of the material supported by his impressive knowledge of spirituality, religion,
culture, psychology, medicine, mythology and history.
WHEN
Emphasis on August/September 2009
WHO
Han Marie Stiekema, in everyday life teacher of spirituality,
psychotherapist and medical doctor (since 1972) from Holland
WHY
In times of decay as today (A. Toynbee) we have to go back to our
spiritual roots in order to be renewed there. Only then a reconstruction of our culture
can be undertaken.
WHEREBY
By means of a unique publication (hundreds of images and additional
commentaries) in the internet, teachings, lectures, events, interviews, seminars,
trainings and so on.
Even for experienced journalists my work will be a big surprise.
Please, speak, write and make films about it. It will be worth it!
