In this most critical of times, it is decisive that people (litterally) once again start moving. Pilgrimages are ideally suited to that purpose

This works only if the latter pursues a clearly defined spiritual, cultural, social and environmental objective. Therefore, the Green Man Pilgrimages are a unique new beginning

It started with discovering and recording of Green Man  places. January the 6th 2010 the basis for most of Germany will be laid

You can go on a pilgrimage in town from church to church, walking or cycling from city to city, or with the car if things go no other way. Even virtual.....

The process, however, never ends. We invite everyone to discover a new green men, and tell us about it. Sites with photo's are regularly published on the Internet

Although the Pilgrimages - that is how one moves from one city to another - are chosen by yourself, suggestions, good ideas and experiences are always welcome. We make them accessible to all

This applies to a large extent, for overnight accommodation. Inns, which strive especially for the welfare of the pilgrims - sleep quality, vegetarian food, Dect telephone free, low costs - may advertise in our website

At the same time we call on everyone to open his or her door for pilgrims. These pilgrim homes offer a free (single) night in an atmosphere of (spiritual) exchange, affinity and solidarity. Would you open up a pilgrim home, please take up contact with us*

In larger towns - such as Munich, Freiburg, Frankfurt, Cologne - but also in smaller, centers where pilgrims can meet are crucial. Menschen die Ideen bzw konkrete Möglichkeiten haben ein solches Pilgertreffen zu realisieren, können uns anrufen oder e-mailen. People who have ideas or concrete ways to realize such a pilgrim meeting, may call us or e-mail

The material made available by us, first of all consists of the Green Man e.g. Wise Woman meditation book (with reference to the Cosmic Mother), the Green Man Guide for Germany (with locations and descriptions), postcards with photo's of famous Green Men with a spiritual text and an inn directory

Churches and communities can participate, as well. They facilitate our pilgrimage, after all. So, we offer them the possibility of a photo exhibition with their own Green Men, along with lively exchanges, such as lecture, Q & A, and celebration

Churches with Green Men, have an added value, an added cultural heritage status.This extension is very positive, do they not invite to interfaith dialogue? Something that we decisively promote. We hope, therefore, that churches will see this as an opportunity and open their houses of prayer for the pilgrims. Those features will be mentioned in our pilgrim guides

The founder - Han Marie Stiekema - will himself be on the road all year around, to meet pilgrims again and again, inspire and support them. He appears either spontaneously or supplies a previously planned schedule with lectures, teaching, meditation and healing. Times and places are mentioned on the Internet

For those who want to benefit their health through pilgrimages  - such as fasting during the trip - we have various informations available: the book "Flow System and Optimal Vitality", the Personal Health Plan, the flu booklet (all in are www.vitalworld.org), while fasting suggestions can be found in the Pilgrim Care site

The Green Man pilgrimages are ultimately meant internationally. Not only that foreigners can come to Germany, but also that one day the pilgrimages to the other Green Man countries - Sweden, the Benelux, England, France, Spain and Portugal - * can be expanded

In addition to the practical matters, the content obviously has priority. We invite everyone to record their own experiences. A selection of which is being published annually in a yearbook. So you can share your unique experiences to with others. Poems, drawings and paintings are welcome, as well

The uniqueness of the Green Man Pilgrimages is, that they are both personal and impersonal. Individual experiences and goals are perceived in the context of the totality - that is spiritually, culturally, socially and ecologically. This gives our Pilgrimages a surprising intensity and commitment

Our time needs that we come closer to each other....Only then there is hope for peace and a sustainable future. The pilgrimages - independent, non-sectarian - promote openness, humanity, acceptance and connectedness, they make a unique contribution to overcoming intolerance, exclusivity and dogmatism
