GREEN MAN IN EUROPE/GERMANY 5

THE HAPPY ENTRY OF THE GREEN MAN IN EUROPE/GERMANY

Practicalities 2

Green Man Pilgrimages are distinguished by a number of important features

Erstmal verbinden sie die innere Suche mit der äußeren. Etwas was in dieser Zeit dringlicher ist als je

First of all they combine internal with external search. Something that is more urgent than ever

This means that you encounter on the road always related people with whom you can exchange at multiple levels simultaneously

It is about rediscovering the meaning of life together. And that without religious pressure of any kind

It is about stepping into the unknown or new ways, instead of being forced to adapt to past structures

For reflection, it is necessary that you can walk in conscious awareness, that is, without any pressure or stress

This is accomplished by the fact that the paths and roads are always new, and the accommodation is not overcrowded. Thus, it is not so that you always have to hurry to a place to secure a bed

Because you (almost) every day again and again encounter Green Men, the path is becoming the goal. Every day you experience the joy of ever-renewing inspiration

Unlike pilgrimages where the target is projected in the end (only), the fulfillment is always near. It protects you from unexpected disappointments

For those who wish, there is support for the internal process, from consultation to literature, from meetings to exercises. No one is bothering you if you have no need for this

Europe was (is) chock-full with Green Men. Many are, however, disappeared by iconoclasm, revolution and war. Today, they are ignored by the churches

They were revered by countless people, a spiritual/cultural fact of the first order. In these critical of times, his comeback is of paramount importance

The Green Man Pilgrimages are primarily an initiative in and for Germany. This means that they contribute to the renewal of German culture and society

There are extensions to other "Green Man" countries, both in and out of Europe. Apart from England, Sweden, Benelux, France, Spain and Portugal - Mexico and Japan are to be mentioned

For Europe we ourselves create a network. For Mexico, it must unfortunately remain for now, only "virtual",  while working with Japan on a cooperative basis

So you could walk the Camino de Santiago, while visiting special places with Green Men. In our website  these places are mentioned LINK: Green Men in Europe/Germany 3

Regarding Japan, we have associated ourselves with the most famous Shinto pilgrimage: the Kumano Kodo. Shinto, because it is directly related to our Green Man philosophy

* Shinto is Japan's "natural religion" with more than 80.000 shrines throughout the country

The trail is located in one of the most beautiful areas of Japan, is well provided with hot springs, while ending - as  expected (...) in the Ise Sanctuary of the Japanese Cosmic Mother, Amaterasu
